WHAT HAPPENED?
The Red Devils have put the 24-year-old on their shortlist of summer targets, reports. Monaco hero Youssouf Fofana is also an option for the Old Trafford club and it was recently suggested that the Ligue 1 side are prepared to sell him in the current transfer window as he wants to leave.

United have been linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, who is said to be available for around £59 million ($76m). The Uruguayan has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Red Devils but they are yet to strike a deal with the French champions.

Reports have also said that United are eyeing another left-back as Tyrell Malacia continues to struggle having been left out of their pre-season tour of the United States after missing the entirety of last season. Ex-Chelsea and Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso is on their list of targets for the position.
